Public Notice: Zoning Hearing Board – Monday, February 1, 2021

**UPDATE 08:30 am 1/31/21**

Please note that due to the increased snow forecast and the winter storm warning extended though Tuesday morning that the regular meeting of the Zoning Hearing Board scheduled for Monday February 1, 2021 at 7:00 pm is cancelled.  The hearings originally scheduled for the February 1, 2021 date will be re-scheduled for Monday March 1, 2021 at 7:00 pm. 

 

PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the regular public meeting of the Zoning Hearing Board (ZHB) of Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, is scheduled at the Municipal Building located at 5500 Camp Meeting Road, Center Valley, PA on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. for the purpose of hearing the following appeals:

APPEAL NO. 2020-13: Roger Rockhill & Julie Jukes (Owners/Applicants), 5831 Vera Cruz Road, Center Valley, PA 18034. The property identified as Tax Map Parcel No. 640447704115 1 and 5831 Vera Cruz Road, Center Valley, PA 18034, is 55.59 acres in size and is located within the South Mountain Conservation (SMC) Zone. The Applicant requests Special Exception approval as provided for in Section 107 to allow the property to be used for a combination of uses within existing structures including production and sale of produce, grapes and fruit, creation of wines, meads and ciders to be sold and served on the premises, a farm market, sale of local artisan products, a winery/tasting room and a venue for social gatherings.

APPEAL NO. 2020-15: Ian Gilda (Owner/Applicant), 7344 Blue Church Road South, Coopersburg, PA 18036. The property identified as Tax Map Parcel No. 642302313771 1 and 7344 Blue Church Road South, Coopersburg, PA 18036, is .39 acres in size and is located within the Rural Residential Zone (R-1) Zone. The Applicant requests Special Exception approval to expand/alter a non-conforming use as provided for in Section 703 and variances from Section 211.I to allow for addition of a rear deck with a proposed rear yard setback ranging from 13’ – 19’ where a minimum rear yard setback of 35’ is required and Section 703.B to permit the enlargement of an existing dimensional non-conformity.
