Position requires strong troubleshooting and decision-making abilities, physical dexterity, ability to do heavy lifting, ability to adjust to changing conditions, high school diploma (or GED). Operators should have 2 years relevant experience in public works, water/sewer, or construction-related fields. Occasional on-call and snow removal work required, paid as overtime. Valid PA driver’s license required, Class B CDL (or will train), and equipment operating skills preferred. Operator candidates should possess a PADEP Class E Wastewater System Operators Certificate, and Laborer should, with paid training, train and test up to Operator over time. This CBA-covered position offers a starting pay rate of $27.16 – 30.25 (Operator) and $23.49 – 26.14 (Laborer), and a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and a defined benefit pension plan.
