NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Upper Saucon Township will meet to consider and act upon a proposed revision to the Act 537 Sewage Facilities Plan (“Plan”) at a public meeting to be held on May 12, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. in the Upper Saucon Township Municipal Building located at 5500 Camp Meeting Road, Center Valley, Pennsylvania, 18034. If approved, the Plan will be submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, Water Management Program, 2 Public Square, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711-0790 as required by Act 537, relating to sewage planning.
The Plan Update proposes to extend the North Branch Sanitary Sewer Interceptor along Limeport Pike to provide sewage service for areas adjacent to Ackerman’s Lane, Sunset Drive, Limeport Pike, and St. Joseph’s Road. Also, the Mountain Greene Subdivision north of the intersection of Limeport Pike and Chestnut Hill Road would be serviced by sanitary sewer within this Plan Update.
Project Name: North Branch Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Extension Project
Type of Project: Construction of gravity sanitary sewer collection system, sanitary sewer force main and a pump station.
User Fees: There will be no change to the current Township user fees.
Project Location: In the Right of Way of Limeport Pike, Chestnut Hill Road, St. Joseph’s Road, Greene Mountain Road, Sunset Drive and Ackermans Lane and easements acquired by the Township.
Final Recommendation of the New Sewage Facilities Planning: New gravity sewer main, force main and pump station.
Classification of Receiving Water: Saucon Creek (CMF, MF)
All interested parties are invited to inspect the Act 537 Plan Update and submit written comments for a period of thirty (30) days commencing on March 31, 2025.
