ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Upper Saucon Township is accepting sealed bids for the following project:

Upper Saucon Township Taylor Drive Storm Drainage Improvements

Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $250.00 per calendar day.

Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Municipality.

The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid, made payable to the municipality.  Both a Payment and a Performance Bond or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder within 20 days after the contract is awarded.

Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry Prevailing Wage Project Rates apply.

Bids will be received until 3:00 PM on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at the Upper Saucon Township Municipal Building, 5500 Camp Meeting Road, Center Valley, PA 18034.  Bids will be publicly opened and read by the Township staff on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 3:05 PM.   Bids will be presented for award to the Board of Supervisors at a public meeting to be held on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 6:00 PM.   

Bid proposals must be on forms furnished by the Township.  Bid forms can be obtained at the Township Municipal Building during regular working hours. 

All bids must be sealed, marked and addressed as follows:

SALE OF USED VEHICLES

Upper Saucon Township is accepting sealed bids for the sale of the following used vehicles:

  • 1999 Ford Crown Victoria with approx. 87,677 miles
  • 2001 Ford Crown Victoria with approx. 92,741 miles
  • 2003 Ford Crown Victoria with approx. 73,041 miles
  • 1998 Ford Explorer with approx. 52,600 miles
  • 2002 Ford Explorer with approx. 81,793 miles
  • 2005 Ford Explorer with approx. 99,553 miles
  • 1990 Ford L-8000 Tandem Axle Dump Truck with approx. 139,563 miles - includes 11’ Plow and 13’ V box spreader

Vehicles can be examined at the Upper Saucon Township Municipal Building during regular working hours by making an appointment with Joseph Geib, Communications Coordinator at 610-282-1171 ext. 225.  All prospective bidders are encouraged to examine the vehicles in advance of submitting a bid.  All vehicles are being sold “as is” without warranty.

Bids will be received until 1:30 PM on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at the Upper Saucon Township Municipal Building, 5500 Camp Meeting Road, Center Valley, PA 18034.  Bids will be publicly opened and read by the Township staff on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 1:35 PM.   Bids will be presented for award to the Board of Supervisors at a public meeting to be held on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 6:00 PM.

Successful bidders must pick up and pay for the vehicles within 30 days of the bid award.  The bidder is responsible for all transfer costs associated with the sale of the vehicle.  Cash or certified check made payable to Upper Saucon Township must be provided at time of settlement.
