ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

The Upper Saucon Sewage Treatment Authority will receive sealed bids until 3:00 P.M. on July 10, 2008 for the following item:

CONTRACT No. 12
SECONDARY CLARIFIER CONCRETE AND METAL REPAIR

Sets of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by mail from Upper Saucon Township Water/Sewer Department, 5500 Camp Meeting Road, Center Valley, PA 18034, or in person at Water/Sewer Building located at 4774 Saucon Creek Road, Center Valley, PA, upon a non-refundable payment of One Hundred Dollars ($100) for each set of documents. Checks shall be made payable to Upper Saucon Township. When requesting documents, please include mailing address, telephone number, fax number, and contract number interested in, with the request.

A Certified Check or Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Upper Saucon Sewage Treatment Authority in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security.

Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and marked with the item to be bid and the date of the bid opening and addressed to Upper Saucon Sewage Treatment Authority c/o Upper Saucon Township, 5500 Camp Meeting Road, Center Valley, PA 18034.

Sealed bids plainly marked "SECONDARY CLARIFIER CONCRETE AND METAL REPAIR" are to be received at the Upper Saucon Township offices located at 5500 Camp Meeting Road, Center Valley, PA 18034 on or before 3:00 P.M. local time on July 10, 2008 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Township Meeting Room by the Authority Engineer. Award of the bid will be considered at the Regular Scheduled Meeting of the Upper Saucon Sewage Treatment Authority on July 15, 2008 at 7:00 P.M.

NONDISCRIMINATION IN EMPLOYMENT

Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act No. 222. The requirements for Bidders and Contractors under these enactments are explained in the Specifications.

Except as otherwise provided by law, no Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of opening thereof or one hundred twenty (120) consecutive calendar days if the award is delayed by a required approval of another governmental agency, the sale of bonds or the award of a grant or grants.
