Upper Saucon Township has employed the use of an emergency notification system to keep residents informed of emergency situations that may arise within the Township. Notification scenarios include water, sewer, weather, and other public safety emergencies.

Concerts in the Park
Upper Saucon Township Park & Recreation Commission is pleased to announce the return of Concerts in the Park. The concerts will take place at the pavilion in the Upper Saucon Township Community Park at the dates listed below:

This year, the Park & Recreation Commission is working with Listen Live Music to feature local musicians for the concerts. Listen Live promotes public awareness and appreciation of acoustic performers. Please see our flyer.

PUBLIC NOTICE: Zoning Hearing Board Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the regular public meeting of the Zoning Hearing Board (ZHB) of Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, is scheduled at the Municipal Building located at 5500 Camp Meeting Road, Center Valley, PA on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 7:00 PM for the purpose of hearing the following appeals:

APPEAL NO. 2015-12 - William Eaton (Applicant), 2799 Kuter Road, Bath, PA 18014 and Lorraine Eaton (Owner), 6051 W. Main Boulevard, Bath, PA 18014. The property identified as Tax Map Parcel No. 641384044944 1 and 5830 Woodcrest Drive, Coopersburg, PA 18036, is 1.02 acres in size and is located in the Suburban Residential (R-2) Zone.  The applicant requests an interpretation of Section 709; that compliance with Section 512.C (wetlands buffer) not required. In the alternative, the applicant requests a variance to construct a new dwelling providing a twenty foot (20’) buffer from the edge of wetlands identified on The Laurels record plan where Section 512.C requires a fifty foot (50’) buffer.

APPEAL NO. 2015-13 - Daniel S. Fitting (Owner/Applicant), 6092 Beverly Hills Road, Coopersburg, PA 18036. The property identified as Tax Map Parcel No. 641363914072 1 and 6092 Beverly Hills Road, Coopersburg, PA 18036, is .51 acres in size and is located in the Rural Residential (R-1) Zone. The applicant requests a variance from Section 212.I (as amended by Ordinance 141-A) to permit construction of a 790 sq. ft. patio resulting in an increase of the impervious coverage on the lot from twenty-two percent (22%) to twenty-five percent (25%) where the maximum impervious coverage permitted is twenty percent (20%).

Trick or Treat 2011Trick or Treat
The Upper Saucon Township Board of Supervisors have set the date for the 2015 Halloween Trick or Treat activities. This year's date will be on Friday, October 30, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The rain date will be the following night, October 31.

Homeland Security Victim Notification Program
US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has a program to ensure that the rights of victims are carefully observed. The Victim Notification Program allows eligible victims and witnesses to obtain reliable and timely information regarding a criminal alien's release from custody. Upper Saucon Township has been working with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to notify residents about the possibility of radon in area homes. The DEP has a number of publications for residents to refer to regarding this matter. They are available on the DEP's website, as well as in our front lobby. Additionally, more information can be obtained by calling 1-800-23-RADON.

Prescription BottlePrescription Drug Drop-Off Box
The Upper Saucon Township Police Department is proud to announce the installation of a permanent drop-off box for unused medications. The box is located in the lobby of the Police Dept., and is available for free, anonymous drop-offs Monday - Friday, from 8AM-12PM and 1PM-4PM.

Township residents can dispose of leaves and other yard waste at the Liberty Road Drop-off Center.  Click here to see when the Drop-off Center is open.
