PUBLIC NOTICE: Ordinance 152
Notice is hereby provided that the Upper Saucon Township Board of Supervisors intends to consider passage of proposed Ordinance No. 152 at a public meeting to be held at 6:30 PM on Monday, April 14, at the Township Municipal Building located at 5500 Camp Meeting Road, Center Valley, PA. Proposed Ordinance 152 would regulate the operation of all-terrain and off road vehicles wthin the Township. Please look here for more information.

Aggressive Driving Enforcement
During the week of April 14th, the Upper Saucon Township Police Department, as well as Police Departments throughout Pennsylvania, will be targeting motorists exhibiting aggressive-driving behaviors such as running red lights, driving too fast for conditions, speeding, tailgating, and careless driving. Our goal is to save lives and reduce crashes, so we’re putting all drivers on alert. If you are speeding or driving aggressively, expect to be stopped and expect a ticket.

During enforcement activities on Wednesday, March 26, the Police Department issued 43 citations for aggressive driving.

The Upper Saucon Township Police Department has been selected to participate in the Pennsylvania Aggressive Driving Enforcement and Education Project (PAADEEP). PAADEEP is a statewide initiative that utilizes crash data to identify aggressive driving locations. High visibility target enforcement, public awareness and training are conducted on these roadways to reduce the number of needless aggressive driving injuries and deaths.  Please look here for more information.

Easter Egg Hunt
The annual Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt will be Saturday, April 19, at 10:00 AM (rain or shine) at the Upper Saucon Township Community Park.

PUBLIC NOTICE: Building Code Board of Appeals
Notice is hereby given that the Uniform Construction Code Board of Appeals of Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, will hold a public hearing at the Municipal Building located at 5500 Camp Meeting Road, Center Valley, PA on April 17, 2014 at 3:30 PM for the purpose of hearing the following appeal:

APPEAL NO. UCC 2014-01 - The appeal of Swim-In Zone, 4355 Saucon Creek Road, Center Valley, PA 18034, otherwise known as Lehigh County PIN 642515340110 1. The applicant is appealing the Building Code Official's determination that Sections 602 and 705.5 of the PA Uniform Construction Code and 2009 International Building Code require a proposed accessory storage shed be located a minimum of ten feet (10') from the existing doors in the building wall of the principal structure or the doors must be fire rated.

Copies of appeal documents are available for public review at the Municipal Building during normal working hours.

Public Notice: Planning & Zoning Committee Meeting
The Planning and Zoning Committee of the Upper Saucon Township Board of Supervisors will meet on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 5:00 pm in the Township Municipal Building, 5500 Camp Meeting Road, Center Valley, PA. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss possible revisions to the Township Zoning Ordinance.

Prescription BottlePrescription Drug Take Back Day
On Saturday, April 26, 2014, from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Federal and local law enforcement authorities will participate in a nationwide program to give the public an opportunity to dispose of expired and unused prescription drugs. For a drop off center near you, please click here.

Yard Waste Center Spring/Summer Hours
Beginning Saturday, March 22, the Leaf and Yard Waste Center will return to regular Spring/Summer hours. For a complete schedule and more information look here. The schedule is also posted on the Calendar.

Prescription BottlePrescription Drug Drop-Off Box
The Upper Saucon Township Police Department is proud to announce the installation of a permanent drop-off box for unused medications. The box is located in the lobby of the Police Dept., and is available for free, anonymous drop-offs Monday - Friday, from 8AM-12PM and 1PM-4PM.
